Best Fruit E-liquid of 2017 | ZAMPLEBOX E-liquid Awards

Mar 11, 2024Updated Sep 17, 20263 min readAwards

Sometimes it feels like every vape in the world is a fruit vape. Fruit is by far the biggest flavor family on our shelves, so the winner of this category had to be something special.

Good news: it is. Peach Papaya Coconut Cream from Pachamama won Best Fruit E-Liquid in the 2017 ZampleBox E-Liquid Awards, voted by our members.

Short version: Pachamama’s Peach Papaya Coconut Cream won Best Fruit E-Liquid of 2017. It blends orchard and tropical fruit over a creamy base that softens the bright, tangy fruit. Pachamama is not sold on our site today, but our peach, tropical and coconut flavors are a good place to look.

The winner: Peach Papaya Coconut Cream by Pachamama

Pachamama is a fruit-focused line from Charlie’s Chalk Dust, and Peach Papaya Coconut Cream shows why it stood out. Our verdict at the time was short and to the point: this one is seriously good.

What makes it work is the interplay between two kinds of fruit and a creamy base:

  • Orchard fruit: peach
  • Tropical fruit: papaya and coconut
  • A creamy base: cream that mellows the bright, acidic edge of the fruit and gives the vape a rich mouthfeel

Our original write-up started to wax lyrical about that rich mouthfeel before we stopped ourselves. The point stands: the cream is what ties it all together.

Why fruit and cream work together

Bright fruit flavors can taste sharp on their own, especially tropical and citrus notes. Cream rounds off that edge and adds body, which is why fruit-and-cream blends are a style of their own. If you like that balance, look at:

  • Tropical blends, if the papaya and coconut side appeals most
  • Peach flavors, which pair naturally with cream
  • Coconut for a smooth tropical note
  • Strawberry and cream, a classic of the style

Not sure which fruit notes you like best? Our guide on how to choose the right e-liquid can help you narrow it down, and perfecting your ZampleBox flavor profile shows how to turn those preferences into better picks.

Bottles worth trying

Pachamama isn’t a brand we carry now, so treat the winner as a flavor guide. For a fruit pick from a brand we carry, Coastal Clouds won Best Fruit Vape in our May 2018 member ratings, and Juice Head is known for its fruit blends. Browse our full fruit collection, or start with peach:

In the Zamplebox Club, you can rate fruit and cream notes so your monthly box leans the same way, and swap any bottle before it ships.
