Reuleaux RX2/3 Device Review

The Reuleaux RX2/3 by Wismec had been out for a little while when we reviewed it, and it had already become a popular mod. Ian and Chris went through all of its pros and cons and gave it a letter grade.
Their take, in their own words:
“…I think it’s reliable, it’s sturdy, a lot of good features…”
Short version: A reliable, sturdy mod with a lot of good features and a flexible battery setup: it runs on two or three 18650 batteries, for a maximum of 150 or 200 watts. This is an archived review, and the RX2/3 is not sold in our shop.

What made the RX2/3 stand out
The Reuleaux line was designed by JayBo Designs and built by Wismec. It takes its name from the Reuleaux triangle, a rounded triangle shape, and the mods are known for that look.
The RX2/3’s standout feature is right in the name: you choose whether it runs on two or three 18650 batteries.
- Two batteries: up to 150 watts, with less weight to carry.
- Three batteries: up to 200 watts, plus more battery life between charges.
That choice lets one device cover two jobs: a lighter setup for everyday vaping, and more power and runtime when you want them.
Our verdict
Ian and Chris came away impressed. Reliable, sturdy and packed with good features is high praise for a mod you carry every day, and the two-or-three battery option is what set it apart. The video walks through the full list of pros and cons and ends with the letter grade.
If you are looking at a mod with similar power today, look for the same qualities they praised: reliability, sturdy construction and useful features, plus a battery setup that fits how long you need to go between charges.
If you run a multi-battery mod
Mods like the RX2/3 put several 18650 cells to work together, so battery care matters more than usual.
- Use a matched set. Pair batteries of the same brand, model and age, and always charge and use them together.
- Check the wraps. Replace or rewrap any battery with a torn or nicked wrapper before it goes back in the mod.
- Charge outside the mod when you can. A dedicated external charger charges each cell on its own, which helps keep a set evenly matched.
- Buy from reputable sources. Choose authentic cells with a current rating that suits the power you vape at.

Pairing a high-wattage mod
A mod in this power range is usually paired with a sub-ohm tank, and sub-ohm vapers typically choose lower nicotine strengths. If that setup is new to you, start with what is sub-ohm vaping and which nicotine strength is right for you.
This review is from our earlier device series, and the RX2/3 is not sold in our shop today. If you vape on a mod like it, our vape juice is where we can help, and the Zamplebox Club can send bottles matched to your taste every month.
