Kilo, Cafe Racer and Cosmic Fog E-Liquid Review

When Did Vaping Start? | ZampleBox Vape School

Back in November 2015, we unboxed that month’s e-liquid subscription box on camera, with reviews of the bottles inside and our own Chris singing the opening credits himself.

This page is the written record of that box: the six bottles featured, what the three headline brands were known for, which flavor families the bottles belong to, and where to find flavors like them on our shelves today.

Short version: Kilo Dewberry Cream, Cafe Racer Lucky 13 and Cosmic Fog Kryptonite headlined the November 2015 box, alongside bottles from Dead Prezidents, I <3 Donuts and Snozz. Cafe Racer is still on our shelves. Kilo and Cosmic Fog are not, so read those entries as a flavor guide from that time.

What was in the November 2015 box

Six bottles were featured that month:

  • Kilo E-Liquids: Dewberry Cream
  • Cafe Racer Craft E-Liquid: Lucky 13
  • Cosmic Fog: Kryptonite
  • Dead Prezidents: Nixon
  • I <3 Donuts: I <3 Donuts
  • Snozz: Snozz Creme

Chris’s full verdict on each bottle lives in the video. Below is the context around the brands and the flavor families they belong to.

The three headliners

Kilo Dewberry Cream

Creamy blends were Kilo’s strong suit, and the brand went on to take Best Milk in our 2016 E-Liquid Awards. Dewberry Cream pairs berry with cream, as the name says. Dewberries are a close cousin of the blackberry.

If that profile appeals to you, browse our berry and cream flavors. Kilo itself is no longer on our shelves, so this entry is a flavor guide rather than a shopping tip.

Cafe Racer Lucky 13

Cafe Racer Craft E-Liquid borrows its name from motorcycle culture, where a café racer is a stripped-down bike built for speed. Unlike the other two headliners, Cafe Racer is still on our shelves.

Lineups change over the years, so check the Cafe Racer brand page to see which bottles are available now.

Cosmic Fog Kryptonite

Cosmic Fog was one of the better-known premium e-liquid makers of the mid-2010s, and our 2016 E-Liquid Awards named it Industry Leader of 2016. Kryptonite, which shares its name with Superman’s famous weakness, was its bottle in this box.

Cosmic Fog is not sold here, so treat this one as part of the record. Chris’s thoughts on it are in the video.

The rest of the box

The other three bottles rounded out the month with a mix of styles:

  • Dead Prezidents Nixon: the brand name riffs on slang for US paper money, and this bottle carries a president’s name to match.
  • I <3 Donuts: a donut flavor, as the name promises, which puts it in the dessert family. Our donut and dessert pages are the closest match today.
  • Snozz Creme: the name points to a cream-style blend, the same family as Dewberry Cream.

All three are bottles from 2015 and appear here for the record.
