Drip’N’Drops – Best Dessert Vape – E-Liquid Awards 2016
Drip’N’Drops, from Vertigo Vapor, won Best Dessert Vape in the 2016 ZampleBox E-Liquid Awards. Dessert is one of the biggest flavor families on our shelves, second only to fruit, so this was a crowded field to come out on top of.
Here’s the record of the win, what the brand said about how it made its juice, and how to find a dessert vape you’ll enjoy today.
Short version: Drip’N’Drops by Vertigo Vapor won Best Dessert Vape of 2016. The team credited small-batch mixing, a hand-picked mixing team and a dedicated lab. Vertigo Vapor is not sold on our site today, but our dessert collection has plenty in the same style.
The winner: Drip’N’Drops
Congratulations again to the Drip’N’Drops team. When we announced the award, the team shared a little about how the line was made:
- Flavors crafted as all-day vapes, the kind you can keep coming back to
- Small-quantity batches
- A carefully selected mixing team
- A full lab and cleanroom, which the team said lets you taste the care and accuracy that went into the line
The team said it was proud of the final product and hoped the line would take you back to a time when life was sweet and simple. It also pointed fans to Nana’s Treat, one of the flavors in the line.
What makes a great dessert vape
Dessert vapes cover a lot of ground, from bakery treats to creamy puddings. The good ones share a few traits:
- Balance. Rich without being cloying, so you can vape it all day, which is exactly what Drip’N’Drops aimed for.
- Texture. Notes like cream, custard and vanilla give the smooth, full mouthfeel people expect.
- Detail. Layers like caramel, cookie or pastry make a flavor taste like a specific treat instead of generic sweetness.
Dessert juices are often sweet, high-VG blends. They are thicker and suit sub-ohm tanks, but they can also wear out coils faster. Some vapers like to let them rest for a while before vaping, a practice called steeping. See What Are PG and VG?, how to steep your e-liquid and when to change your vape coils.
Bottles worth trying
Vertigo Vapor is not a brand we carry now, so use this as a guide to the style. Start with our dessert collection, or browse Holy Cannoli if a pastry-shop treat sounds right. If custard is your kind of dessert, Vape Craft, a brand we carry, won Best Custard Vape in our May 2018 member ratings.
