One of the best things about waking up, especially on a workday, is a cup of coffee. Coffee vapes are trickier. When they’re good they’re great, and when they miss, they just taste weird.

Back in 2016, we looked at which coffee flavors our community voted for and rated highest, and put the favorites in one list. Here’s that list, plus what to look for in a coffee vape today.

The 2016 favorites

These were the top coffee and coffeehouse flavors of 2016, based on community voting and ratings, listed by brand and flavor as they appeared in our shop at the time:

• Carpe Diem Wake Up Call
• High Voltage Resistor
• Zen Vapor Room Venus Chai
• Adam Bomb Sanctuary
• The Collection Duffy
• Transit Vape Bus Pass
• Victory Liquid Oh Latte
• Two Peas Chillin w/ Frosty
• Purveyors Moroccan

Lineups have changed a lot since 2016, so use this as a flavor guide rather than a shopping list.

What makes a good coffee vape

• Real roast character: the best ones taste like brewed coffee or espresso, not burnt sugar.
• Balance: many coffee vapes add cream, milk, caramel or vanilla to round out the bitter edge, the way a latte does.
• A little patience: rich coffee and cream blends can deepen as they sit, so read up on how to steep your e-liquid.
• Coil care: sweet, dark juices tend to gunk up coils faster, so keep a spare handy.

Coffee bottles worth trying

Start with our coffee vape juice, and if you take your coffee sweet, our cream and caramel flavors are worth a look too.

Where things stand now

Back then, logged-in members could add some of these bottles straight to their box with a plus button. That idea lives on in the Zamplebox Club, where you can add specific bottles to your next box or queue them for later, mark favorites and swap anything before it ships. Wake up, and vape on.
