Cali Steam E-Liquid Review – Full Line

Jun 22, 2022Updated Sep 17, 20264 min readReviews

Cali Steam built its name on perfectionism. The brand said every flavor was tweaked until it was right and every ingredient was vetted for quality, and that dedication showed in the bottles. After meeting part of the team at the 2016 Electronic Cigarette Convention (ECC), we knew they had something special.

This is an archived review of the full six-flavor line. Cali Steam is not sold on our site today, but the notes below are still a handy guide to fruit, cereal and bakery flavors.

The setup: Wismec RX200 with a TFV8 Beast tank at 120 watts.

The six flavors

Brain Freeze

Flavor tags: berry, blue raspberry, bold, cherry, citrus, fruit, ice cream, lemon, raspberry

An all-day vape that is hard to put down. It tastes like a slushie with every flavor mixed in, only far less sweet. The inhale is cool and slightly sweet, and the exhale brings more raspberry, cherry and lemon. It stays light, and it is one of the best in the line. If you like cool fruit, look for blue raspberry and icy blends.

Crazy Toucan

Flavor tags: cereal, fruit, fruity cereal, milk, dessert

Crazy Toucan won Best Cereal Vape in the 2016 ZampleBox E-Liquid Awards, and it is easy to see why. It nails the fruity loop cereal flavor. The inhale is milky, with that sweet leftover cereal-milk taste, and the exhale is a blast of fruity cereal. We finished the bottle in no time.

Pearadise

Flavor tags: fruit, kiwi, pear, tropical, berry, strawberry

We hunt down fruit flavors, and this became one of our all-time favorites. The pear is distinct, balanced by kiwi and a faint strawberry. You get crisp pear on the inhale, then fresh pear, light kiwi and a touch of strawberry on the exhale. If you love fruit, this is the style to seek out.

Cali Girls

Flavor tags: fruit, melon, watermelon, candy, hard candy

Perfect for summer and just as good the rest of the year. Cali Girls is a watermelon hard candy, exactly as described. It is on the sweet side, but the watermelon is too good to mind. The inhale is juicy watermelon with a slight hard-candy edge, and the exhale is the full watermelon candy.

Cinnaswirl

Flavor tags: bakery, cinnamon, cinnamon bun, dessert

Cinnamon roll flavors usually go one of two ways: sweet and frosted, or doughy and sweet. Cinnaswirl is a good balance of both, with the light spice of a freshly baked roll and a nice mix of icing and dough. The inhale is doughy spice, and the exhale leans toward the icing. A solid choice if you like cinnamon and pastry flavors.

Tropicali

Flavor tags: fruit, kiwi, pineapple, pomegranate, strawberry

A tropical party. It is a unique taste, and the fun part is that a different fruit seems to stand out on each puff, so the blend keeps changing as you vape. If you love that kind of variety, keep this profile in mind when you browse our tropical flavors.

The verdict: 4.8 out of 5 stars

The lineup is great, the branding is beautiful, and the people behind the juice were funny and incredibly kind. What more could you ask for? Pearadise was our favorite and Cinnaswirl our least favorite, but Cinnaswirl was still really good; it just had tough company.

If this line sounds like your taste, browse our fruit collection or set a fruit-forward flavor profile in the Zamplebox Club.

Bottles worth trying

Cali Steam is not in our shop, but these pear flavors share Pearadise’s crisp profile.
