ZB GO was ZampleBox’s own pod system. We spent a long stretch testing and developing it, and when it was ready, Ian and Chris sat down on video to go over the nitty-gritty of the device and what set it apart from other pods.

ZB GO is no longer sold, so this post is a look back at what the device offered, plus what to reach for today if you want the same kind of simple, portable vape.

Short version: ZB GO was a refillable, open-pod device built for value and ease of use, paired with a nic salt e-juice we formulated for it. It has been retired, but you can still get pod-style simplicity from nic salts and disposables.

What ZB GO was designed to do

We built ZB GO around two ideas: value and ease of use. The goal was a great pod experience for a wide range of adult vapers, from experienced vapers who wanted something portable to adult smokers taking their first look at vaping.

An open, refillable pod

Closed pod systems only take prefilled cartridges. ZB GO used a refillable open pod instead, so you could fill it with the e-liquid of your choice or use the ZB GO nic salt juice we formulated specifically for the device.

Made for nic salts

Pod systems generally run at low power, which is why they pair so well with nicotine salt e-liquid. Nic salts are usually sold in higher nicotine strengths than traditional freebase juice and are made to feel smoother at those strengths, so a small device can do its job without big clouds.

Value and portability

Value was the headline. Because the pod was refillable, one bottle of juice went a lot further than a pack of prefilled pods, which is why refillable systems usually cost less to keep running. The device itself was small, simple and easy to carry.

A note for adult smokers

We originally pitched ZB GO to adult smokers who were curious about vaping as well as to experienced vapers. If you smoke and are thinking about switching, keep a few facts in mind: nicotine is addictive, no vaping product is FDA-approved as a quit-smoking aid, and public-health bodies still disagree on the details.

Talk to your doctor before you decide, and check cdc.gov and fda.gov for current guidance.
