What Does Vaping Mean?

The vaping community is growing and we want you to be a part of it. But in order to do that, we think there are some things you should know about vaping. You know, so you know what’s going on and what you can expect from the community.

What is Vaping?

Let’s get down to basics for a minute. Vaping is the act of inhaling an e-liquid through a heating element. E-liquids can have nicotine or be nicotine free and is composed of propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin. The heating element heats up the e-liquid, transforming into vapor, which you, the user, then blows out of your mouth, all while removing the nasty carcinogens and toxins found in traditional tobacco products. Science is cool, right?

Why Vape?

Why would you vape? Well, for starters, if you’re a smoker and you’re trying to quit, vaping can make that process easier. Vaping and smoking are similar in that you’re ingesting nicotine, but vaping is much safer because you’re not getting the toxins that come with cigarettes.

Vaping is also great because you don’t have to ingest nicotine if you don’t want to. E-liquids come in different flavors and different nicotine levels; it’s also possible to vape nicotine-free liquids. So even if you’re around friends who smoke, you can still join them by vaping with them.

Vaping Culture

Vaping is no longer a hobby; it’s grown into a community of like-minded people like you and me. There are conferences and events held just for vapers. We have our own Youtube channels, a variety of different brands we can interact with, and a technology industry set within our community. Vaping is also a very social activity. You’ll find that vapers often strike up conversations with strangers that lead with questions about their mods. In fact, some of us here at Zamplebox have made really great friends stemming from the act of vaping.
