DRPN Donuts Review

DRPN Donuts Review

Who does not love a good donut vape? Our friend Tia Vapes, a YouTube reviewer, sat down with the DRPN Donuts line, a three-flavor collection of glazed donut e-liquids.

This is an archived review, and DRPN is not sold in our shop today. The flavor notes are still a handy guide if you love bakery vapes.

Short version: DRPN Donuts came in Bear Claw, Blueberry and Strawberry, all glazed donut flavors in a 60/40 blend that works well in tanks, including sub-ohm tanks. Tia’s full verdict is in the video.

The three flavors

A good donut vape starts with a soft, fried-dough base and a sweet glaze, and the rest comes down to what goes on top. DRPN offered three takes.

Bear Claw

A glazed cinnamon donut, named after the classic bakery pastry. It is the only one of the three without fruit, so start here if you like your desserts spiced rather than fruity.

Blueberry

A true blueberry glazed donut. Blueberry and a sweet glaze are a donut-shop classic, and this flavor goes straight for that pairing.

Strawberry

A strawberry glazed donut. Strawberry is one of the most loved notes in vape juice, so if strawberry desserts are your thing, this is the one to look for.

Tia’s full thoughts on each flavor are in the video.

Why a 60/40 blend suits tanks

All three DRPN Donuts flavors are 60/40 blends, which makes them a good match for tanks and sub-ohm tanks. The ratio describes the mix of VG (vegetable glycerin) and PG (propylene glycol) in the juice.

VG is thicker and makes denser vapor. PG is thinner, carries flavor well and gives more throat hit. A balanced blend like this wicks easily in most tanks while still giving you a good mix of flavor and vapor. If you use a tighter mouth-to-lung pod or starter kit instead, a thinner juice or a nic salt is usually the better match.

Our guide to PG and VG covers the details, and what is sub-ohm vaping explains the tanks.

Getting the most from donut flavors

  • Let it steep. Bakery and glaze flavors often taste fuller after a rest. See how to steep your e-liquid.
  • Keep an eye on your coil. Sweet dessert juices can gunk up coils faster than light fruit flavors. If the flavor fades or tastes burnt, it may be time for a coil change.
  • Rotate your glazes. Switching between a fruit glaze and a spiced one keeps your taste buds from getting bored.
  • Match your nicotine to your device. Tank and sub-ohm vapers usually pick lower strengths. Read which nicotine strength is right for you if you are not sure.

Bottles worth trying

DRPN is not in our shop, but these donut flavors hit the same bakery-case notes. For more, browse our pastry and dessert flavors, or let the Zamplebox Club pick bottles for you based on the notes you rate highest.
