Vaping for Fun

Vaping for Fun

Can vaping be fun? For plenty of adult vapers, it is. Beyond the device itself, there’s a whole culture of flavors, gear and people to explore. Here’s what makes the hobby enjoyable, and what to keep in mind along the way.

Short version: Vaping lets adults customize nearly everything, from flavor to nicotine strength to hardware, and it has a social side too. Nicotine is addictive, so choose your strength with care.

Customization

You choose your vape juice flavor, your nicotine strength and the style and power of your device. Working out a setup that suits you is a big part of the appeal. If you’re still exploring, our guide to choosing the right e-liquid is a good place to start, and our flavor index shows just how wide the range goes.

The social side

Many adults who used to smoke remember the smokers’ circle outside a bar or at work. Vapers have their own version, from vape meets to online groups where people swap flavor tips, answer each other’s gear questions and just hang out.

Nicotine, your way

You decide how much nicotine goes into your vape juice, including nicotine-free options, and you can change it whenever you like. Our guide to nicotine strength explains the levels.

Keep the careful version in mind: nicotine is addictive, no vaping product is FDA-approved as a quit-smoking aid, and adults who smoke and are thinking about switching should talk to a doctor.

Where things stand now

The hobby looks different today. Federal law set the minimum age at 21 in December 2019, vaping products need FDA authorization through the PMTA process, and flavor rules vary by state and city. The fun parts are still there, and if you’d like help exploring flavors, the Zamplebox Club curates a box to your taste every month.
